Where Fayetteville Tap Water Comes From

All water treated by Fayetteville PWC is surface water. The P.O. Hoffer Water Treatment Facility receives water from the Cape Fear River. The Glenville Lake Facility receives water from the Cape Fear River, Big Cross Creek and the Little Cross Creek watershed, including Bonnie Doone Lake, Kornbow Lake, Mintz Pond and Glenville Lake. Water from both facilities enters the general distribution system.
